This scrapbook (actually a collection of mounted photographs and text documents in page protectors) covers the period April 14, 1945 to August 1945.

. It covers that part of the service exchange program that involved Air Force personnel visiting the 238 Combat Engineer Battalion at Nordhausen, Germany where they were involved in cleaning up a German Concentration Camp. Included is a letter written by one of these engineers about his experience. Three pages of photographs are included.

The second part of this scrapbook contains photographs of the August display for the French population at the Eiffel Tower in Paris and photographs with captions of the 599th Squadron, 397th Bomb Group base after the group had returned from Y-55 to A-72.
