MHS

The primary purpose for this site is to provide selected authentic archival materials that relate to the B-26 Martin Marauder airplane and those individuals who designed, built, maintained, supported and flew it before, during and after WWII.

Additionally, information will be provided about the B-26 Marauder Historical Society, which is the organization initially manning this site, and The Pima Air and Space Museum which has been selected to house archival materials of the Martin B-26 Marauder along with the extensive related collections of all related participants.

Many of today's population will not realize that the Martin B-26 Marauder was employed not only by the United States Air Force but by the United States Navy and Marine Corps, by the Royal Air Force, by the South African Air Force and, ultimately, by the Free French Air Force. Especially supporting this aircraft in the early days of WW II was the Royal Australian Air Force. This aircraft operated in every war theater of WW II and, later, in civilian modes.

It is the intent of the Society to keep this site as simple as possible, avoid bells, whistles and flag waving, and to provide quality historical material that can be accessed and downloaded quickly.
